IMPORTANT RANSOMWARE NOTICE

A new version of Ransomware called "Petya" is currently running around the globe infecting computers. It is very similar to the "WannaCry" ransomware that we saw a few months ago. If your computer is infected you will be locked out with a notice demanding payment to unlock your files. During the last attack our system stayed clean because we are aggressive about applying security updates as well as utilizing products like Barracuda that scan and protect our emails. This infection is transmitted at first via an email attachment. Once it is in our network it seeks out other computers to infect.

Because of this latest cyber attack and through an abundance of caution I will be blocking access on Company Owned devices to third party email providers. Starting today access to the following email sites will be blocked.

• Gmail
• Yahoo Mail
• AOL
• MSN
• Outlook.com
• office365

You will still be allowed to access those sites via your personal devices IF connected to Employee_Access WIFI. 

As always please do not open any email attachement you were not expecting. If you have doubts please call either Scott or myself to have us check.
